What Should Be Included in a Custom EVA Case Quotation?

A practical guide to the unit price, tooling, sample charges, packaging, lead time, payment terms and delivery basis buyers should confirm before approving a custom EVA case quote.

A useful custom EVA case quotation should tell you more than the unit price. It should make the project scope clear enough that both buyer and supplier understand what is—and is not—included.
Bravie Case recommends reviewing the commercial terms together with the case specification before approving a project.

1. Product and Case Specification

The quote should identify the proposed case size, main materials, interior structure and major customization requirements. For a product-specific case, the quotation should be linked to the current product dimensions or approved layout.
This helps prevent a price from being reused after the specification has changed.

2. Unit Prices at Relevant Quantities

Ask for the quantities you are genuinely considering, such as 300, 500 or 1,000 pieces. The quotation should make clear whether pricing is per design, color or variant.
If your first order is uncertain, avoid requesting many unrealistic quantity tiers that will not help the purchase decision.

3. Sample and Tooling Charges

Sample fees, shell tooling, insert tooling and logo setup should be shown separately where applicable. Ask whether any of these charges are reusable, refundable or creditable toward production.
There is no universal rule, so the written quotation should control the project.

4. Packaging, Lead Time and Payment

Confirm the standard packing method, any custom packaging cost, sample lead time, production lead time and payment schedule. These items can materially affect the first order.
For projects with labels or retail packaging, confirm whether artwork setup and printing are already included.

5. Trade Term and Quote Validity

The quotation should state whether the price is EXW, FOB, DDP or another agreed term. It is also useful to include a validity period because freight, materials and exchange rates can change.
A clear quotation reduces the chance of unexpected additions after sampling.
