Choosing the right case size starts with more than measuring the main product.
For a custom EVA case, the final dimensions depend on the complete product set, the protection required and how everything needs to be organized inside.
Start With the Complete Product Set
Before deciding the case size, identify everything that needs to travel together:
A case sized only around the main device may leave too little room for accessories—or become unnecessarily large when the layout is added later.
Allow Space for Protection
The product should not sit directly against the case shell.
Depending on the product, the interior may need foam around the sides and bottom, finger-access areas for easy removal, and additional clearance around buttons, connectors or other protruding parts.
There is no fixed rule such as simply adding 10 or 20 mm to every product dimension.
Consider the Interior Layout
Two products with similar dimensions can require very different case sizes.
For example, a device with a charger and several cables may need more usable space than a slightly larger device with no accessories.
This is why we normally review the product dimensions, photos and complete accessory list before recommending a case structure.
Validate the Fit Before Production
Dimensions and drawings are useful for the initial evaluation, but the final fit should be confirmed during sampling.
A prototype helps verify:
This reduces the risk of discovering fit problems after production begins.
