MOQ is one of the first questions buyers ask when starting a custom EVA case project.
For a fully custom EVA case, the practical MOQ depends on the case size, materials, tooling, interior structure, branding and production requirements.
Small-batch custom projects can be considered when the specifications are feasible and the buyer accepts the associated development and production costs. Existing molds and simpler layouts may help reduce costs, but each project requires an individual review.
Why Do Custom EVA Cases Have an MOQ?
A custom EVA case is not only a standard bag with a logo added.
Depending on the project, production may involve:
- Interior pockets or elastic retention
- Material and color preparation
These setup steps create costs before bulk production begins.
For very small quantities, these costs are spread across fewer cases, which can make the unit cost much higher.
When Can a Lower Quantity Be More Practical?
A lower quantity may be easier to support when the project can use an existing EVA case size or an existing case structure.
For example:
- The product fits an available case size
- No new shell tooling is required
- The interior is relatively simple
- Only basic branding is needed
- Standard materials and colors can be used
In this situation, we can first check whether an existing case style is suitable before developing a completely new case.
When Does Full Customization Make More Sense?
A fully custom EVA case is usually more suitable when:
- The product dimensions are confirmed
- The case needs a specific size or shape
- The foam must fit the product closely
- Multiple accessories need dedicated positions
- The case is part of the final branded product
- The project is preparing for commercial production
- Repeat orders are expected
For these projects, developing the case around the actual product usually provides better fit, organization and presentation.
What Information Helps Us Confirm MOQ?
MOQ cannot be determined accurately from the case appearance alone.
Before reviewing a project, it helps to provide:
- Confirmed product dimensions
- Product photos or drawings
- Interior layout requirements
With this information, we can determine whether an existing case, a modified existing structure or a fully custom case is the most practical direction.
Not Sure Which Option Fits Your Quantity?
Send us your product dimensions, accessory list and estimated order quantity.
We can first review whether an existing EVA case option is suitable or whether full customization makes more sense for your project.
